Napoli have loaned forward Eduardo Vargas to Valencia for the rest of the season.
The Chile international had been tipped to join Santos, having impressed during a temporary spell with Grêmio last year.
Vargas netted six goals in 18 appearances for the Tricolor, despite being largely a reserve to captain Hernán Barcos and Kleber.
Should the 24 year-old, who joined Napoli in January 2012 for £11.5 million from Universidad de Chile, impress of the next six months at Valencia, he reportedly has the option to stay for another season.
