The defender praises his team’s finishing following Sunday’s 5-0 victory over Nantes.

Thiago Silva is already accustomed to speculation over his future during transfer windows. Considered one of the best centre-backs in the world, the 29-year-old is constantly the subject of rumours and has caught the eye of many of the world’s greatest teams. Despite this, on Sunday he confirmed that he intends to remain at PSG until his contract expires.

Speaking to Canal+ following the 5-0 victory, the Brazil captain said that he hopes to stay in Paris for a long time. His contract runs until 2018.

"I feel really good here with the manager, with the president. I want to stay and I believe that I’ll stay here until the end of my contract."

The ex-AC Milan star also spoke about his teammate Ibrahimovic: "Ibra is a great player with a big personality. I think he also wants to stay."

"Yes, PSG is one of the greatest clubs today. We can do well in the Champions League. The guys did really well today [against Nantes]. I think we can repeat this kind of performance in the Champions League and this is what we need to do. We had a great game," he went on to say.
