Manchester United are set to loan midfielder Anderson to Fiorentina, according to the Daily Mail.

It claims the Brazilian is to be the first player moved out of United, as manager David Moyes looks to rebuild his under-performing squad.

Anderson has been inconsistently used by the Scot this season. In the Premier League, he has made just four appearances, while in the UEFA Champions League he’s featured for a mere ten minutes.

Anderson will hope a loan spell with Fiorentina can resurrect a career that has got off track in recent years. The 25 year-old, who cost Manchester United £20 million when they signed him from Porto in June 2007, has largely become a peripheral figure at Old Trafford, having initially made a good start to his time in England.

Should Anderson join Fiorentina, he will will become the third Brazilian on the books at La Viola, alongside Neto and Ryder Matos.
