Internacional director Eduardo Lacher has confirmed Ignacio Scocco wants to leave.

The forward, who was signed from Al Ain for €4.25 million in July, has struggled to settled in Porto Alegre.

He scored just three goals in 17 appearances for Inter last season and previously admitted he could be tempted to leave.

Lacher has now gone one step further in asserting that Scocco does intend to move on from Internacional, with Sunderland and Valencia interested in snapping him up.

"Scocco is a great player but he expressed interest in leaving as he does not want to play in Brazil," he said, as reported by Roker Report.

"He talked with Abel Braga [Internacional manager], said he no longer wants to play for Inter and is no longer motivated to play for Inter.

"The player has to want to play at Inter. Otherwise, you can not play for the club.

He expressed a desire to leave, so we will try to find a way out for him. We know there are interested clubs like Valencia and Sunderland."
