Brazil goalkeeper Julio Cesar suffered the agony of conceding four goals on his return to the Q.P.R. side as they lost to Everton in the F.A. Cup Third round.

The 34 year-old, who hasn’t been in his club’s plans this season, was given the opportunity to return to the starting line-up following an injury to first-choice Robert Green.

Unfortunately for Cesar, Everton were in no mood to succumb to their Championship opponents and coasted to an easy victory at Goodison Park.

Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has gone on record as saying that the ex-Inter Milan stopper will be his Number One for the World Cup.

A return to Brazilian club football has been mooted but Cesar’s wages would prove to be a decisive factor in that eventuality.
