Turkish club Bursaspor are interested in Grêmio midfielder Elano according to Turkish newspaper Fotomaç as the Brazilian side continue cutting the wage bill for next season.

The Serie A side have already transferred Dida, Eduardo Vargas and Marceloa Moreno in the close season and are interested in moving Ze Roberto and Elano on.

Tricolor are going through financial changes and according to Lance are now saving over one million a month due to end of season transfers. The Porto Alegre team will save even more if Ze Roberto and Elano leave.

Elano only made 22 appearances in the Brasileirão last season for Grêmio, scoring three times. Reports in December suggested newly promoted Palmeiras were interested in signing the former Brazil international but financial issues prevented the move going through.

The former Santos midfielder will hope to rediscover his best form in Turkey should he move there. He played there before with Galatasaray and enjoyed varied success.

Bursaspor are in need of creative talent as they have only scored 19 times in 17 Süper Lig matches. Elano could be the man for the job and as they are only five points off the Europa League places, they’ll hope to secure his signature.
