São Paulo’s on loan forward Aloísio dos Santos Gonçalves is edging closer to a transfer to Chinese club Shandong Luneng Taishan, now managed by former Atlético Mineiro manager Cuca.

Aloísio’s representatives are set to discuss contract terms with the Chinese club over the next few days and could close the deal before the end of the year.

It is believed that the wage offer is considerably more than the forward receives from his current loan team and he is inclined to agree to the transfer.

São Paulo are predicted to get half the money for the deal and the rest of the amount will be split between various other parties.

São Paulo’s vice president João Paulo de Jesus Lopes confirmed the news to Radio Globo by telling the radio station that once the prescribed amount in Aloísio’s contract is reached then he can transfer to another club.

“In the contract there is a clause that determines the release if it appears that a proposal reaches the prescribed amount.”

The 25-year-old forward was one of Tricolor’s best performers in the 2013 Brasileirão, scoring 11 goals in just 17 starts. His departure would be a huge blow to the club.
