Clarence Seedorf believes Botafogo can still win the Brasilierao.

A run of three defeats in a row has seen Oswaldo de Oliviera’s side fall 11 points adrift of leaders Cruzeiro.

Seedorf is not giving up, however, and insists Botafogo are still in the hunt for top spot.

“We are going to fight until the end. If Cruzeiro keep going at this rate we’ll take our hats off to them,” Seedorf said on Tuesday, as reported by ShanghaiNews.com.

“What we have to do is win as many games as we can and not throw in the towel. There are still 42 points to be won and we have to be positive, courageous and not look back.”

Botafogo will hope to get back to winning ways when they host 2nd place Gremio on Saturday.
