Lazio defender Andre Dias has pleaded with his teammate Hernanes to stay with the club next season.

The Seleção star has been linked with a move away from Lazio this summer with Paris Saint-Germain reportedly set to carry on their spending to get the midfielder, but his countryman hopes that the 28-year-old will stay at Stadio Olimpico, reports Football Italia.

Dias told LazioNews24: “I know Hernanes well and I know he will already be working hard on his fitness.

“He really is a quality player. We all hope he comes back soon.”

Hernanes joined the club from São Paulo in 2010 and helped the Biancocelesti secure the Coppa Italia title last season.

The player is still away from the club after he helped Brazil to win the Confederations Cup and has refused to rule out a transfer, however Dias is pleading with his countryman to stay.
