Chelsea star Oscar believes Neymar’s move to Barcelona will be great for his development and will inspire Brazil to become world champions.

The 21-year-old star sealed his long-awaited switch from Santos to Camp Nou last week and will have all eyes on him next season as he looks to establish himself on the European stage.

Oscar has been outstanding for the Blues since arriving from Internacional last year and he believes Neymar will take Europe by storm, which will also help Brazil during the World Cup next summer.

He told the Daily Mirror: “Neymar is a big player and his arrival at Barcelona will only increase the level of his game. That will be very good for Brazil in a year’s time.

“He is a spectacular player and moving to Europe will only help him develop his skill, ability and make him even better.

“It has helped me at Chelsea, fit in with the team, I have improved my level and adapted to a different style. It helps you learn and progress.”

Oscar enjoyed an impressive debut season at Stamford Bridge, helping the club finish third in the Premier League and win the Europa League.

“I am content with my performance in my first season in England,” he added.

“I believe that I have increased my level and now I want to carry on improving. Learning and playing with big players at Chelsea can only help.”

Brazil take on England in their second international friendly this year on Sunday, in which Oscar will be looking to claim bragging rights over Chelsea team-mates Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole.
