Marcelo Moreno’s father, Mauro Martins, would love his son to swap Grêmio for Santos, believing he would score lots of goals playing with Neymar.

Moreno, 25, was linked with Palmeiras last week as part of the deal to take Hérnan Barcos to Grêmio but refused to move, saying he did not want to play for the relegated São Paulo giants.

However, while his father insists that the Bolivian international is only focusing on doing well for the Tricolour, he welcomed interest from Muricy Ramalho’s team.

“Ah, he would make a lot of goals, he would do much success with Neymar,” he told Lancenet!, who revealed that he was impressed when he met the Santos superstar last year.

“We had a BBQ after the game with the players and met him. He is a playmaker off the field too, it was really cool to meet him. He gave me a shirt of Santos. It is a great kid.”

Despite all this Moreno will not push to leave Grêmio as he has a contract with the club until 2015 and will only consider a move if Santos agree a deal with the club and if they can convince him that he will succeed there.
