Lucas Moura made an impression during his Paris Saint-Germain debut on Friday night as the Parisien’s could only stumble to a 0-0 draw with Ajaccio.

Lucas, 20, who was making his first official appearance for the club, impressed throughout with his workrate and fine dribbling abilities. Indeed, so hard did he work, that he was substituted with cramp with five minutes remaining.

The result was massively disappointing for PSG, who could now lose their lead of Ligue 1 to either Marseille or Lyon later this weekend. The match, also, claimed high-profile casualties.

It may have been a good night for Lucas, but his fellow Brazilians fared less well.

Defensive midfielder Thiago Motta was sent-off on the stroke of half-time after a foul on Ajaccio winger Frederic Sammaritano that left the wideman unable to continue.

Later, to make matters worse for the hosts, Thiago Silva would leave the Parc des Princes on crutches after pulling up with a muscle injury early in the second-half.

Given the twice Samba Gold trophy winner’s importance to the side, they will be loathed to see him sidelined for any great period of time.

A positive night for Lucas then, but one PSG would love to forget.
