Metalist Kharkiv forward Taison has revealed he would welcome a reunion with former teammate Oscar after speaking to Chelsea about a potential move.

The 24-year-old was tentatively linked with the Blues during the summer and is now thought to be closing in on a move to Stamford Bridge.

Taison has revealed he spoke to owner Roman Abramovich during a visit to the club in November and would relish the opportunity to play alongside Oscar again.

The Brazilian told Diario Popula: “I went to England (some weeks ago) just to take a look. I talked to the president.

“I see Oscar, who I played alongside at Internacional, and I want to play with him again.”

The attacking midfielder made more than 130 appearances during three years at Inter before moving to Metalist in 2010.

Taison’s agent, Diego Dornelles, is not ruling out his client leaving the Ukraine during the January transfer window, despite the club wanting him to stay.

He said: “The club want him to stay, but there are many things coming.”

Should Taison sign for Chelsea, the club would have an incredible six Brazilians on their books.

Chelsea own Brazil Under-20 full-back Wallace, who should arrive during the summer, as well as first-team quartet Oscar, Ramires, David Luiz and Lucas Piazon.
