AC Milan have agreed a deal to sell Brazilian striker Alexandre Pato to Corinthians according to the player’s agent.
The forward has long been linked with a move back to his homeland with Corinthians deep in negotiations with AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani.
But now Pato’s agent has revealed that a deal has been struck between the two clubs for the striker’s transfer.
Gilmar Veloz told Radio Bandeirantes: “AC Milan said yes to the transfer, we are defining the details. The deal will happen.”
This means the end of a six year association with Milan for Pato after he joined in 2007 from Internacional.
Pato netted 63 goals in 150 appearances for the Rossoneri and 9 in 20 for the Seleção during that period.
The signing is a huge boost for the Brasileirão and could yet be followed by other high profile signings such as Robinho who is reported to be in talks with Santos.
