Manchester City supremo Txiki Begiristain has flown out to Brazil to conduct talks with Santos and Corinthians for Neymar and Paulinho according to reports in England.

The Daily Mirror reports that director of football Begiristain has arrived in São Paulo to push through a £11m deal for Paulinho.

City are believed to be in the market for reinforcements as Yaya Toure is off to the African Cup of Nations in January, leaving them short of options.

The Daily Telegraph also reports that Begiristain is meeting Santos officials to discuss a possible move for Seleção star Neymar with a £32m bid mooted.

Both players are known to have insisted that they are staying at their respective clubs but Mancini is set on boosting his midfield options after a fruitless summer transfer window.

The Telegraph also believes that the move for Neymar spells the end for Italian striker Mario Balotelli in a Manchester City shirt.
