Santos beat already-relegated Palmeiras 3-1 in their final game of the season on Saturday after both sides were reduced to 10 men.

Victor Andrade cancelled out Maikon Leite’s fifth-minute strike to restore parity for the home side before Brazil international Neymar  bagged a quick first-half double.

The first of which came from the penalty spot after Adalberto Roman was given his marching orders for a challenge in the box.

Neymar struck again before half-time to help his side to a 3-1 lead before Alan Santos was shown a second yellow in the 56th minute to even the playing field at 10 men for both sides.

Elsewhere, Flamengo came from behind in both halves to earn a third consecutive draw at home to Botafogo.

The visitors went ahead after just five minutes of play through Sassá before Wellington Silva set up Nixon to equalise after half an hour of play.

Vítor Júnior restored Botafogo’s lead one minute after replacing Clarence Seedorf, but Flamengo levelled through Vágner Love on 56 minutes to earn a 2-2 draw.
