Manchester United has identified Tottenham’s Brazilian midfielder Sandro as a key signing to shore up their midfield according to reports in England.
The Daily Star claims that Sir Alex Ferguson has identified the Seleção star as the perfect signing to add steel to their midfield.
The tabloid states that Ferguson believes his side lacks a dynamic presence in the middle of the park and sees Sandro as the solution to a long standing problem.
Sandro, 23, has been in superb form for Tottenham this season, anchoring the midfield in Andre Villas Boas’ new setup behind the likes of Gylfi Sigurdsson, Gareth Bale and Moussa Dembélé.
It would not be the first transfer between Old Trafford and White Hart Lane, with Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov having made the switch between the two clubs in recent years.
But higher-ups at Old Trafford are wary of the asking price that Tottenham are likely to slap on the Brazilian in light of their interest.
