AC Milan’s Robinho was involved in a car accident near the San Siro on Tuesday but is reported to have emerged unscathed.

The Brazilian forward, 28, was driving home after injuring his thigh in training when he was involved in the incident, according to Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The striker will now not be involved in the upcoming Serie A clash against Lazio and is also a doubt for next week’s Champions League fixture against Malaga.

Robinho has been plagued with injury problems, with his latest injury a reoccurence of the one he suffered in pre-season.

So far this season, he has only managed to appear in four games for Milan. The striker has also been left out of Mano Menezes’ plans for the 2014 World Cup on home soll, with his last call up coming in 2010.
