Paris St-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has told Eurosport that he cannot wait for Neymar to come to Europe, so that he can admire his skills up close.

The Swedish star, 30, was speaking to the TV channel’s weekly show, Eurogoals, when he expressed his admiration for the young Santos striker and urged him to move to Europe as soon as possible.

“Neymar has a fantastic talent. He’s fast and very strong technically. He has scored a lot of goals and is having fun playing,” said the former Ajax, Juventus, Barcelona and AC Milan forward.

“But we want to see him play in Europe and admire him here, because Brazil is too far away.”

Ibrahimovic is not the first person to urge Neymar to move away from Brazil and test himself in Europe, however his club manage at Santos, Muricy Ramalho, believes he should move away for different reasons.

Speaking after Neymar was sent off against Grêmio this weekend, he said: “He copped a pounding today – first a whack in the ankle and then a hit from (his opponent) Para who was his teammate at Santos.

“What good will be done by Neymar staying? If he comes to me and asks what he should do, I will tell him that he has to leave.”
