Southampton striker Guly Do Prado believes his newly promoted team have aclimatised to the demands of the Premier League and is confident they can stay up this season.

Speaking to Futnacional.com.br, Do Prado, 30, spoke of what to expect from the club in their first season back in the English top flight since being relegated in 2005.

He said: “The fans will see a young team, wanting to win this year for everyone.

“Earlier, we had some difficulties to “understand” the Premier League, but now we’ve adapted well,” He added. 

Do Prado has made his career predominatly in Europe and did not hide his desire to finish his playing career back in Brazil.

“I dream of returning to Brazil, but in relation to Seleção. I can not say.

“I dream of playing for a big team in São Paulo. Either for São Paulo, Corinthians or Palmeiras. I’d rather go to the Corinthians, as they are the team of my heart and then maybe finish my career at Ponte Preta, who were my father’s team.”
