Luis Fabiano is looking forward to playing alongside Neymar when Brazil face Argentina in the Superclasico de las Americas this week.

The Sao Paulo forward has been named 20-man squad of domestic players to take part in the two-legged tie on September 19 and October 3.

It is the first time he has been called up for the Seleção since the 2010 World Cup and now wants to make an impact alongside the Santos star.

“I would be pleased to play alongside Neymar. A play started by him could turn the match in our favour,” Fabiano is quoted as saying by Fox Soccer. “He is a fantastic player. It is better to play with him than against.

“I’ve been unable to play frequently for Brazil due to injuries but it is up to myself to show whether I am back to stay or not.”

Mano Menezes’ side will be looking to retain the trophy after winning the inaugural edition 2-0 on aggregate last year.
