Fluminense ace Fred to return against Internacional

Fluminense coach Abel Braga has confirmed that Fred will return to action against Internacional at the Beira-Rio this Sunday.

The 27-year-old, who is currently the top goal scorer in the Brasileirão, sustained a hip injury against Corinthians last Thursday and subsequently missed Flu's last two league fixtures against Figueirense and Santos.

''Fred is scheduled to play against Inter on Sunday,'' Braga told reporters. ''It was just a bruise. He is eager to play, and he will.''

Fluminense currently lead the Campeonato Brasileiro, with 47 points, whilst Internacional sit twelve points behind them in sixth place.
