Italian giants Roma have finally announced the official capture of Corinthians full-back Dodo, a one time target of Manchester United.
Dodo, 22, who spent last campaign on loan at Bahia had struggled to make an impression at Corinthians, despite a strong showing whilst in the North-East.
Matters were not helped when the left-back suffered a damaging knee ligaments last November, but he will now look to get his career back on track in Italy.
“A.S. Roma announces that it has agreed a sporting contract with Jose Rodolfo Pires Ribeiro [Dodo] for a duration of five years, with effect from today until June 30, 2017," a club statement said.
“The player arrives from S.C. Corinthians Paulista, with whom he has terminated his contract simultaneously with the signing of AS Roma."
