The reasons for the termination were four months of unpaid wages, a justification accepted by the judge.

The player’s advisors will now pursue the unpaid wages through other means, whilst Ronaldinho has officially left the club.

Ronaldinho’ termination follows an escalation in the arguments between the player and the club over a lack of professionalism, and for the club’s part, unpaid wages.

Former-Barcelona star Ronaldinho has failed to have the desired impact at Flamengo, showing his quality in flashes, but generating more headlines for missing training and his social activities.

A one time Seleção regular, Ronaldinho was recalled to the Brazil squad in 2011, but has already dropped out of Brazil reckoning.

With Traffic having pulled out of an agreement concerning his wages, Flamengo had been left to foot the bill for his €500,000 a month wages. An obligation they have been unable to meet.
