The Spanish giants join a host of clubs interested in the 25-year-old’s services, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Paris Saint-Germain all rumoured to be considering a summer bid.

Real Madrid coach José Mourinho was spotted watching Brazil take on Denmark in a friendly in Germany last Saturday, and reports in Spain suggested that the Portuguese tactician was taking a closer look at São Paulo midfielder Lucas Moura.

However, according to Hulk’s agent Teodoro Fonseca, Mourinho was also there to scout his client, who scored twice in the Seleção’s 3-1 victory.

”José Mourinho was not there for a stroll,” Fonseca was quoted as saying to the Daily Mail.

”Mourinho was in Hamburg to see several players and, of course, he also went to see Hulk. It was he who stood out.”

Hulk has a £85.6 buy-out clause in his contract with Porto, which expires in 2016.
