The Brazilian Confederation of Football (CBF) published last week the official calendar of the first and second national championships for the season 2005.

The first division « Brasileirão » will start April 24th and will end December 4th. The second division one will start April 23rd.

The two championships will gather each one 22 teams, ready to succeed FC Santos (division 1) and Brasiliense (division 2).

The clubs of division 1 :

Atlético Mineiro, Atlético Paranaense, Brasiliense, Cruzeiro, Fortaleza, Internacional, Juventude, Paraná, Coritiba, Figueirense, Goiás, Vasco, Flamengo, Fluminense, Botafogo, Palmeiras, São Caetano, São Paulo, Santos, Ponte Preta, Corinthians, Paysandu.

The clubs of division 2 :

Grêmio, Guarani, Criciúma, Vitória, Anapolina, Portuguesa/SP, Avaí, Bahia, Ceará, CRB, Náutico, Santo André, Ituano, Marília, Paulista, Santa Cruz, São Raimundo, Caxias, Sport, Vila Nova, Gama et União Barbarense.
