On the day the CBF released the season’s fixtures all eyes in Brazil turned to the Corinthians show. In Rio Flamengo suffered a 2 x 1 defeat to last weeks first round champions Volta Redonda and Vasco defeated Fluminese in a heated confrontation in the Maracana with Romario firing the winner.
