Ze Eduardo to West Ham in doubt

The loan deal taking Ze Eduardo to West Ham appears to be in doubt as the Hammers look to Bristol City's Nicky Maynard to solve striking woes.

Just yesterday, with the 23-year-old Brazilian in London for his medical examination, it seemed that the former-Santista was heading for West Ham.

Yet, less than 24-hours later, with a lack of progress coming out of Upton Park, it appears that the club are looking elsewhere, with striker Nicky Maynard close to signing a deal this evening.

The decision is a blow for Ze Eduardo, who had struggled to settle in Italy and was looking to get his career back on track in England.
