Lance! report that Coritiba’s centre back Émerson, recently called-up to the national side by Mano Menezes is the primary target for São Paulo. Whilst, Paulo Miranda of Bahia is expected to have his capture announced shortly.

The third target for Adilson Batista’s side is young Goias prospect Rafael Tolói, a former fixture of the junior national teams, now playing in Série B after his sides relegation.

With Émerson and Tolói under contract until December 2013 and 2015 respectively, it is understod that São Paulo will look to hire the players for a one-year loan deal, with an agreed price for purchase within the loan period.

It is clear that with the forward ammunition the side already possesses, São Paulo will be looking to launch a full-out assault on the Copa Libertadores next season.
