After having had good results in Cruzeiro the 43 year old went to three different clubs and didn’t have any success. First it was Corinthians, then Santos and finally Atletico-PR.
“It is a challenge,” he said. “I had two short stay in this state and I received this opportunity to give a boost to my career. I hope to get better.”
Batista has a contract until the end of the year with the objective of qualifying Sao Paulo in the Copa Libertadores.
