You were discovered by Vitória Bahia and left them for Saudi Arabia. What motivated you make this move?

I was having a good time at Vitória and then a good offer came in to play in abroad, in Saudi Arabia. So I decided to leave, hoping to continue my good form, however things didn’t work out. So I came back, joining Flamengo and I am very happy here. However this experience has not but me off playing abroad again.

Is there any club in France that particularly interests?
Obina
Not really. I just always look to give me all for whatever club I’m play at. I am playing well at Flamengo right now and hope to score lots of goals this season. So currently, all my attention is on Flamengo.

How easy has the move to Flamengo been? How would you describe the environment at the club?
Obina
My integration has gone smoothly because the environment is very good, relaxed, which should allow us to get what Flamengo deserves: cups and more trophies!

Who is your Flamengo idol?
Obina
It has to be Zico, a great ídol of the club, even today. I’ve always been inspired by him and the way he played and I work hard each day to try to for fill my own potential.

In your opinion, who is the best striker in Brazil right now?
Obina
I agree with the majority of the general public that Robinho is one of the best strikers we currently have.
