How does voting work?
The winners’ choice in the three categories is made through public voting. This year, Samba Gold has special guests from Sambafoot – the VIP voters –, who also vote for their favorite players. All votes have the same weight.
At first, the award took into account the performance of athletes on European soil. Since 2021, it has been expanded to all continents, as long as outside Brazil.
