One of the most satisfied players with Brazil’s 5-1 victory over Argentina early on Sunday (3) in Los Angeles was full-back Yasmin. Highly valued for her defensive ability and efficiency in supporting the attack, the full-back scored one of the team’s goals. In an interview right after the match in the Copa Ouro quarterfinals, Yasmin praised the performance of the entire team.

“We played a game with Brazil’s style and we managed to do it very well. Our assertiveness made the difference. I am very happy with what the team produced, with the qualification for the semifinals, in a match that we know is marked by rivalry,” said Yasmin.

She was the author of Brazil’s second goal, in a loose ball situation where the ball fell perfectly for her at the edge of the box. She followed the play and struck a powerful left-footed shot, leaving no chance for the Argentine goalkeeper to save.

During the interview, Yasmin talked about the rotation that coach Arthur Elias has been implementing throughout the Gold Cup, giving opportunities to all outfield players. She mentioned that this approach is proving effective and that the team is expected to improve even further.

“This is the hallmark of this work. It involves all players, the whole squad, with everyone working, regardless of who starts or comes on during the match. The pace and intensity remain the same, and the victories are coming.”
