Brazil once again disappointed and is out of the 2024 Paris Olympics. With the loss to Argentina, the Argentine team and Paraguay will be the representatives from South America in the event.

Brazil’s current situation is poor
Brazil remains poorly placed in the Qualifiers and saw several streaks come to an end, including losing for the first time at home in the competition.
The defeat was against Argentina at the Maracanã, in a game with a lot of fighting in the stands. The team was led by coach Fernando Diniz, who was relieved of his interim position with the arrival of Dorival Junior.
The Brazilian women’s national team also faced a failure at the World Cup. Brazil did not advance past the group stage, marking a humiliating performance, especially considering that the opponents were historically weaker teams like Jamaica.
In the women’s team, there was also a change in coaching staff. Coach Pia Sundhage left and the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) brought in Arthur Elias from Corinthians.
