Palmeiras drew 0-0 with Deportivo Pereira, this Wednesday (30th), at Allianz Parque, and secured a place in the Libertadores semifinals for the 11th time in its history (record among Brazilian clubs), being the fourth in a row (equaling Santos’ Brazilian record, between 1962 and 1965). The first duel with the Colombian rival, in Colombia, ended 4-0 for Verdão.
The team will now face their historic rivals Boca Juniors in the semifinals of the tournament.

The Brazilian team has already played 47 elimination clashes in the history of Libertadores, winning 32 and being eliminated (or being runner-up) 15 times. Against foreigners, Verdão got the better of the last seven knockouts for Libertadores.
