Having played many seasons in the elite of European football while shining for the Brazilian national team, Marcelo got to play alongside other world-renowned players. In a recent interview with the Podpah podcast, the veteran defender dared to put together the dream lineup of teammates he"s had throughout his career.

When naming the coach, the former Real Madrid player couldn"t settle for just one: he chose both Zinedine Zidane and Fernando Diniz, with an honorable mention for Carlo Ancelotti. He also had his doubts at goalkeeper, praising Iker Casillas, Diego López, Thibaut Courtois, and Fábio. But he opted for Keylor Navas.

In defense, he even excluded himself: with Rafinha at right-back, Marcelo designated Sergio Ramos and Thiago Silva as the center-back duo, with Roberto Carlos on the left flank.

For the middle of the park, the 35-year-old player mentioned the midfielders that won everything with Los Blancos in the last decade: Casemiro, Toni Kroos, and Luka Modric.

In the attacking line, he named a powerful offensive trio with Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, and Ronaldo Nazário. When asked about Ronaldinho"s absence, Marcelo explained: “I prefer Neymar [over Ronaldinho Gaúcho]. After Messi and Cristiano, Neymar is the best for me."
