With vast experience in Austrian football, defender Lucas Galvão recently reached the milestone of 56 matches for Austria Wien, being the club he has represented the most in his career, surpassing two others from the same country, SCR Altach (54) and Austria Lustenau (54). A player at Austria Wien for almost two years, the Brazilian defender highlighted his strong connection with the current team.

“I feel very happy here and increasingly motivated to defend this shirt. Since I arrived at the beginning of 2022, everyone has treated me very well, from the club’s staff to the fans. So, this milestone for Austria Wien is very rewarding, and I hope to continue increasing this number of matches and, above all, bringing joy to our fans,” said Lucas Galvão.

Lucas Galvão has shown excellent numbers so far this season. In 13 matches in the Admiral Bundesliga, the defender has an 83% pass success rate, leading in this aspect at Austria Wien, 78% successful passes in the final third, 56% of duels won, and 8.4 balls recovered. Additionally, the Brazilian ranks in the top 3 in the team in three other attributes: interceptions (2.6), clearances (2.5), and tackles (2.3), all per game, according to Sofascore.

“I made the most of the vacation in the best possible way with important people in my life, such as my family and my partner. I was able to recharge and return with a lot of energy for this mid-season break. We have some commitments this month, and we will give our best to improve aiming for the resumption of the season,” he projected.
