Jamal Musiala is one of the most interesting and sought-after footballers in all of Europe. The Bayern Munich attacking midfielder has earned a place in the German team’s select eleven thanks to his good performances, being one of the players with the best G/A contribution in the entire old continent and all this, at the tender age of 20 years.

The Stuttgart-born player is already an established star and, for many, he is the best young footballer in the world, only being compared to players of the caliber of Pedri or Bellingham. However, recently he has not been in the news for his sporting performances, but for a confession in relation to one of his great idols: Neymar Jr.

Jamal Musiala imitated a famous Neymar celebration during his time at Santos

In the group stage of this edition of the UEFA Champions League, Bayern Munich faced Galatasaray, an event in which the Germans won solidly 1-3 with a goal from the German jewel. After his goal, Musiala held a celebration that went viral in Brazil, as it was reminiscent of a legendary celebration made by Neymar Jr. during his time at Santos.

Recently, in the run-up to the match against Manchester United and Bayern, which the Bavarians ended up winning 0-1, a journalist from TNT Sports asked Musiala about the celebration and if it had anything to do with Neymar, which the German confessed that it was and that it was inspired by the Brazilian star:

When asked, the pearl answered the following: “Yes, definitely. I remember that… (The journalist adds: It was in Santos) Yes, it was in Santos. When he played for Santos, the skills he had… He went up to TOP-10 in the Ballon d’Or at that time, I think.”

The journalist adds: “He won the Puskas Prize”.

“Yes, the Puskas and everything. So yes… I always loved Neymar from Santos, Neymar from Barcelona and any Neymar, really. But yes, that celebration stayed with me and I thought I would try it.”

Previously, Musiala had already declared himself a staunch fan of Neymar Jr. and Messi, but with this recent celebration the German makes it clear that his predilection goes more towards the Brazilian, against whom he has already had the pleasure of playing in the UEFA Champions League.
