Brazilian National Team forward Gabriel Jesus was brutally honest after the defeat against Argentina at the Maracanã stadium. Heavily criticized due to his performances in the last two World Cups, where he did not score goals, the Arsenal striker said that he will be back to the scoring sheet in no time.

“I try, I look, I move, I help the team. I believe that goals are not my strong point, but I score goals, I"m there to score goals. I did so much in the national team. When I score goals again, It"s going to happen. It"s work. I work quietly."

What else did Gabriel Jesus say

“There are things that bothered me a lot in the post-2018 World Cup cycle. I was younger, I had a different mind. Today I am more mature, I understand that football is a priority for me. I will always give my life to do my best, especially in the Brazilian National Team".

“Since I"ve been here, this was the first game against Argentina that we also beat [physically]. We always get beaten. It"s normal. It"s part of the game. We want to go in and win the game, but we have to do this, because we always get beaten. Unfortunately we didn"t win, but I believe that due to the circumstances, what happened at the beginning, other provocations, things that happened the other time they played here, there was no game, there might not be a game this time. Argentina x Brazil will always be like this."

“I believe we played well, better than them. They had a chance at the dead ball. We could have defended better, unfortunately it happened. We don"t want to lose games. But we have to keep our heads in place."
