The new coach of the Seleção, Dorival Júnior, will spend several days in Europe on the eve of what will be his official debut in charge of the national team in the matches against England and Spain on March 23 and 26, respectively.

As reported by media outlets like ESPN Brasil, Dorival will stay in Europe until the end of February to firsthand see some of the great Brazilian stars who are currently playing in the old continent.

Dorival Júnior ‘scouts’ Brazilian stars playing in Europe

The coach visited Madrid in these first weeks of February to enjoy the match between Real Madrid and Girona at the Santiago Bernabéu, where he saw emerging talents like Yan Couto and Savinho, as well as Real Madrid’s two stars, Vini and Rodrygo. Madrid won 4-0 with a masterful performance by Vini (one goal and two assists) and a goal by Rodrygo.

More recently, Dorival also visited Barcelona and watched the 3-3 draw against the Catalan team to see Raphinha, a Brazilian winger who returned from injury and played 15 minutes. Due to his suspension, Vitor Roque could not participate in the match.

It is presumed that Dorival is currently still in Spain, but the aforementioned source states that the Iberian country will not be the only destination the coach will visit during his stay in this part of the world.

Initially, Dorival will not miss the opportunity to enjoy the talent of his players who are playing in England and France. Specifically, he plans to visit Manchester, London, and Paris to see players like Casemiro, Antony, Martinelli, G. Jesus, Marquinhos, and others.

His European adventure will last until February 26, which is his return date to Brazil, where he will prepare throughout most of March to face the friendly matches leading up to the Copa America.
