“I exploded with emotion! For me, it has always been and will always be gratifying to serve the Brazilian national team, to represent our country, to represent the dream of girls who dream of experiencing this one day,” she celebrated.

Cristiane dedicated the goal to loved ones, including her son, Bento, and her wife, Ana.

“Bento and Ana, I love you, my family, everyone who rooted for me, my friends, the people who cheer us on a lot, we need you very much. There are a lot of bad people in the world, and we need the good people cheering for us. Big kisses to everyone,” she celebrated.

The SheBelieves Tournament was used as preparation for the Women’s National Team for the 2024 Paris Olympics. In the call-up, Arthur Elias gave opportunities to more players and promoted various formations to prepare his team to face Nigeria, Spain, and Japan in the group stage of the competition.

Cristiane praised the training and games during the SheBelieves and emphasized the opportunity to play against the Japanese, future opponents in Paris.

“I am very happy and proud of what we did in the competition. It is an extremely important preparation for our national team in the Olympics, to face a team that we will encounter in the Olympic Games and to have the confidence to go after the result, seek the draw, and succeed in the penalties was extremely important,” she said.
