The Brazilian National Team already has a defined opponent for the FIFA window. On June 1 and 4, the national team will take the field to face Jamaica. The matches will take place in Recife and Salvador.

The confrontations will serve as the last challenge for the “Amarelinha” before their ultimate goal: The Paris Olympic Games, which will be held between July 25 and August 10, in France. In the first phase, Brazil is in Group C and will face Nigeria, Japan, and Spain.

The national team’s record is positive. Since taking over the command in September 2023, Arthur Elias has accumulated nine wins, four losses, 26 goals scored, and 11 conceded. Moreover, in March of this year, they won the silver medal in the CONCACAF Women’s Gold Cup and the third place in the SheBelieves Cup in April.

The coach will announce the athletes called up for the two commitments on May 10 (Friday). The schedule and location will be announced later.

Remembering Zagallo

Sambafoot Series launched a new documentary about the football legend Zagallo. Known as ‘Velho Lobo‘ and as superstitious as it gets, Zagallo helped shape what Brazilian football is nowadays — as a player and as a coach.

The first, second and third episodes are available on Sambafoot’s Youtube channel. Stay tuned for the upcoming releases as we keep telling this legend’s life story.
