The moment Brazilian football fans have been waiting for is upon us. The start of the 2024 Brasileirão is just around the corner, with days and kick-off times confirmed for the first round matches as the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) confirmed how the initial round will be played.
Although the organization had announced an unprecedented opening match for this year, it turns out there will be two simultaneous matches to kick off the tournament.

The Brazilian league will raise the curtain on Saturday, April 13th, with two matches scheduled for 18:30 (Brasília time). While Internacional host Bahia at Beira-Rio, Criciúma will play against Juventude at Heriberto Hulse. Later on, Fluminense will face Bragantino at the Maracanã and São Paulo will square off against Fortaleza at the Morumbi.
