Recently, the whole world got to know Bento, the starting goalkeeper for Athletico Paranaense, after earning his place with Brazil and making his debut against England and Spain, demonstrating his potential and talent against opponents of the highest level.

Following this revelation, and with European interest dating back to the summer of 2023, Furacão aims to finalize a historic sale for Brazilian football this summer, as they would be willing to sell their star goalkeeper for a figure close to 20 million euros.

Bento aims to break Alisson Becker’s sales record

In the summer of 2016, Internacional de Porto Alegre made history by confirming the transfer of Alisson Becker to AS Roma for 8 million euros, selling 50% of the player’s rights.

Today, almost eight years later, Athletico Paranaense aims to break this record set by Internacional, as the club is confident in selling Bento Matheus Krepski, their starting goalkeeper, for around 20 million euros, thus breaking Alisson’s record and making him the most expensive goalkeeper in the history of Brasileirão.

According to Diario Sport, this would be the clear objective of the Furacão’s management, a club that has already rejected an offer from Inter Milan of nearly 15 million euros for Bento in the summer of 2023.

Currently, the aforementioned source states that more teams have joined the race for Bento, and that this interest, previously exclusive to Inter Milan, has also been joined by teams from the Premier League and the Portuguese League.

Benfica, Inter Milan, Chelsea, and Nottingham Forest are the teams willing to strongly bet on a Bento who has recently stated that he only thinks about Athletico Paranaense, but the transfer window is approaching and the interest in this gem is not diminishing.
