Carlo Ancelotti, the coach of Real Madrid, has once again wanted to extinguish speculation around a possible takeover of the Brazilian National Team. He has made it clear that he is fully focused on the Spanish giant and their upcoming season.

“Brazil, I will never talk about that, or what might happen,” the Italian told reporters in Los Angeles, where Real Madrid will play four friendlies in the United States, starting with a clash with AC Milan at the Rose Bowl.

“I’m the coach of Real Madrid, and I’m staying here,” he claimed, just two weeks after Brazilian FA (CBF) president Ednaldo Rodrigues hinted that Ancelotti could become the first foreigner to lead the Seleção in almost 60 years after his contract with Real Madrid ended.

This would put him in charge for the Copa América in the United States in June 2024, but Ancelotti has decided: for him, the subject is closed.

“I will never come back to this question,” he added, adding that he had signed a contract with Real Madrid “until June 30, 2024”.

Brazil will have Fluminense’s Fernando Diniz as its coach until next year.
