Striker Adriana fought hard, battled for almost every attacking ball for the Brazilian National Team, and was rewarded with a goal still in the first half of the game in which Brazil defeated Mexico 3-0 on Wednesday night in the USA. With the result, the team secured a spot in the Copa Ouro final.

“It’s a very good feeling. We started the game very well, imposed our rhythm and scored two goals, which gave us tranquility. We came back well for the second half, but there was a bit of carelessness that can’t happen,” she declared.

In the goal-scoring play, Adriana took advantage of a joint defensive error from Mexico to finish with a spectacular jump. Later, she had other chances to extend the lead and made good assists to her attacking teammates.

She praised the early work of Arthur Elias with the Brazilian National Team and highlighted the team’s qualification for the Copa Ouro final.

“It means a lot to us to start this new phase with Arthur, reaching a final. Arthur’s work is very good. There is nothing better than having a start like this. Now, we have to prepare ourselves for the title challenge,” she said.
