If Alisson keeps clean sheets in the final two league games for Liverpool, he will equal Pep Reina’s record of 20 shutouts in a season.
The Spaniard recorded the total twice- in 2005/06 and 2008/09. Alisson is being backed to achieve the milestone by none other than Reina himself.
"I"m fancying him to do it," the Spaniard told Liverpoolfc.com. “Although, he"s played more games than me because I think I played 32 or 33 games to complete 20 clean sheets and he"s played 36!
“But still it"s a great achievement. I"m looking forward to [him breaking the record]. If it"s Saturday against Newcastle, good.
"If it"s the last game of the league, even better if that means Liverpool is the Premier League champion.
