Everton forward Richarlison says he will stay true to his instincts and try to get in positions to score goals, wherever he is fielded in the front line for the Seleção. The 22-year old is angling for a start against Panama on Saturday with Neymar absent through injury.

“I still don’t know if I will play yet, we only find out on Friday,” Richarlison told a press conference on Wednesday. “I am prepared to play in any position in the attack. I have always been a leading goalscorer in my teams because I always want to score.

“This got me into the team at América-MG, Watford and Eveton and I will continue to do this because it makes me happy. Since I was called into the national team, my intuition remains to score goals in every game.

“I am a guy who has always scored and I was called up because I score for my club, so I will keep trying to do this for Brazil.” Brazil play Panama on Saturday and Czech Republic on Tuesday.
