Chelsea winger Willian says he has no desire to leave the club during the January transfer window, despite reported interest from Barcelona.

The Brazilian was reportedly subject to a bid from the Spanish club, with young winger Malcom offered as bait for the Blues.

Chelsea rejected the offer and the player himself told reporters this weekend, “My future is Chelsea, I don’t know what else is being said. I don’t read the newspapers.”

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri says the club are not interested in sanctioning a sale either, “He is a very important player for us. I think it is impossible to lose him in January.

“You need to ask the club about what will happen in the market, because if you ask me, you put me in a complicated situation and I don’t know how to respond.

“But as you know, Willian is very important to us.” The player’s contract expires in 18 months time.
