Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp says that he has ‘nothing to say’ on the future of star turn Philippe Coutinho as the January transfer window looms.

The player submitted a transfer request in August, amidst interest from Barcelona. The Reds held onto the player, but rumours abound that Barca might try again in January.

But Klopp was in no mood to countenance the player’s future during his pre Spartak Moscow press conference on Tuesday.

Asked if there were any developments, Klopp responded, “Nothing – but I don’t think about it, I think about the Moscow game.

“Not one second have I thought about that so far. I am not unsure, I am not sure, I don’t think about it.

“No one knows what will happen in the ‘nice and calm’ January transfer window. It’s nice from an outside view but I have absolutely nothing to say.”
